Zach is a high energy, deep-thinking lover of life who grew up in St. Louis and then relocated to South Carolina for four years at Furman University. After graduating from Furman with an English degree, a heavily-stamped passport, and a passion to make the world a better place, Zach was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to serve as a teacher and ambassador for the United States to the country of India. Unfortunately, 2020 was not the year for an international scholarship program, and Zach had to pivot when the Fulbright was cancelled. Not easily dismayed, Zach and his lovely wife, Rachel, launched a new job search and landed teaching jobs together at Jackson Hole Classical Academy in Wyoming. Currently Zach teaches Civics, Literature, and U.S. History and enjoys passing on his passion for good ideas that drive good actions to his middle and high school students. When he's not teaching, Zach likes having deep conversations about big ideas, taking quiet walks in the woods, getting big air on the ski slopes, playing any team sport, and dancing with his wife in the kitchen. He is thrilled for the opportunity to grow as a leader with the Timothy Foundation as he connects with the God who loves him and with dynamic peers who share the motivation to live into their God-given callings.
